Lutherville-Timonium, MD, April 10, 2015 — Renewable Energy Corporation, a leading mid-Atlantic commercial and residential provider of solar energy solutions, has been chosen by the United States Secret Service to participate in their upcoming Earth Day Celebration. Held April 15, 2015 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the Atrium area of the Secret Service’s D.C. headquarters building, the annual event highlights organizations that are making key contributions to the renewable energy sector.
Renewable Energy was chosen due to its prominence as a key player in residential solar energy options, said Ryan McNeil, CEO of REC. Renewable energy has set itself apart from the competition by being able to offer optional battery backup systems, as well as the fact that we exclusively offer only the highest quality products that are only manufactured in the U.S.A. These were key factors that led to Renewable Energy being awarded security clearance to interact with and educate secret service employees on the benefits of going solar at their Earth Day celebration.
In their role at the event, Renewable Energy Corporation will have a table for display and handout materials. Their representatives will talk about the organization’s programs and be available to answer any questions that employees and personnel may have. Last year, over 400 individuals attended.
This is the second time Renewable Energy Corp. has been invited by a major governmental department to offer its solar options to employees during an event promoting the benefits of solar, McNeil said. Last October, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) had Renewable Energy on hand at its headquarters for a similar event.
